More of our Sunday...
Davis Family Maternity Shoot
Today I had the pleasure of photographing our friends, the Davis'! They are expecting a baby girl, Madison, on April 28th. It was so much fun capturing this moment in their lives today. We took pictures at two locations - the first was Madison Square in downtown Savannah, and the second was at Tybee Beach. Afterwards we enjoyed a nice dinner at The Crab Shack!

Playdate with the Davis Family/Birthday Dinner
Friday afternoon Gavin and I headed over to have a playdate with Erica and Tyson. We hadn't hung out with them in awhile and it was great to catch up. The boys did really well playing with one another. Gavin loved having a new selection of toys! Once Jason and Andy got off work they headed to the house to join us for pizza and breadsticks. It was a great dinner! The Davis Family is expecting a little girl in April and it was fun to see Madison's nursery almost finished- it's so weird seeing pink, but so adorable!
Tomorrow we'll see them again, as I'm going to take some family/maternity pics for them in Madison Square downtown and then out on Tybee Island. It's going to be a great time (if the weather cooperates). I love having friends that are so willing to let me practice my photography! It's so easy to sit at home and look at ideas online and to read about taking pictures, camera settings, etc. but theres nothing like really getting out in the field and actually practicing with real subjects in various locations at different times of day. It's soooo much harder, but really good practice. This will be the first time I've shot a family as a whole, so I'm looking forward to the experience, and a little nervous at the same time. I really hope to capture some great ones for them to treasure as memories of the 27th week of pregnancy and their family time here in Savannah!
Jason and Gavin are going to tag along and go fishing at Tybee while I take photos. You know that I'll be sneaking in a few photos of them as well! I just love the weekends when they can catch up on time together. I dread Monday mornings, as Gavin wakes up and walks the house looking for daddy. He's so sad to find out he's at work!
This morning Gavin had his 3rd success on the toilet in a week! Jason and Gavin were sitting on the bed and Jason says "What do you want to do today, Bud?" and Gavin replied "Go pee pee!". So, we quickly put him on the potty and he went right away!
Tonight Gavin and Jas got to catch up on some time alone, as I went to dinner with friends to celebrate Melissa's birthday. We had a fun time at a local Japanese restaurant and then ended up talking for hours at Starbucks! So fun! I cherish my times with Melissa as I know she'll be moving all too soon!
Ok, time for bed!

Reunion Planning Time!
Hard to believe the time has come to start planning a 10 year high school reunion. It will actually be my "9" year reunion and Jason's "8" year, as people decided to combine years and do a 1998-2002 Class reunion since our class groups were so small. Also, since we're all from military families, most of us no longer live near Ft. Campbell, KY and we aren't sure how many people will actually travel to attend the event. E-mails have started going out with information to start the planning process. I've volunteered to be the Class of '01 Mailing Address collector! I'm hoping this won't be too much of a challenge. A huge majority of the people are on facebook which should help. We had about 100 in our graduating class - I better get started on the collections! The reunion is going to be this June (I think the 4th-6th?). I'm hoping Jason and I will be able to make it - the dinner is supposed to be on post in the same building where Jason and I had our Rehearsal Dinner! (I believe the place is called Cole Park Commons?) If we can make it, it should be a great weekend. In addition to a big dinner, I think it's in the planning stages to have various sporting events through the weekend as well. Maybe Jason can participate in a game of football for old times sake! If I'm able to attend, the "main" planner has asked me to bring my camera along to photograph the weekend - I'm pretty excited about that! Wish me luck on address collecting!
My Little Yard Work Helper
(I use any chance to practice with the manual settings on my camera - love how the bokeh turned out on this one!)
Love the little red blooms all over our tree!
Gavin is ready to help mama with the yard work now
(He had to be patient while all the dog poop was collected!)
