MCCC Reception

Last night we had our MCCC Reception at the Commanding General's house on Fort Benning.  The house is known as "Riverside" - it's beautiful!  It was nice to get all dressed up and have one last big social before the guys graduate in 2 weeks and we all part ways once again.  The men all looked so good in the ASU's and the ladies weren't too bad themselves!  It's funny going from "mommy mode" where all we see each other in is workout clothes covered in food, snot, spit up, etc and then to see each other all spiffed up - we almost aren't recognizable!  The reception went in phases - some seminars went through at 6-7pm and others (us) from 7-8pm.  We're lucky enough to live within a two minute walk to Riverside, so we didn't even have to bother with parking.  The Mineo's and Coughlin's (all friends from Savannah) had our same time slot so we had everyone over for a couple drinks before walking over.  Our awesome sitter, Hannah, came to the rescue and fed and entertained the kiddos for us while we were gone for the hour.  It was so nice to get out and have some adult time, even if it was only an hour.  I love coming home after I've been away, as Gavin greets me with the biggest smile and tells me over and over "I was missin' you, mama.  I'm so glad you're back."  My heart swells!

From 1/75 to MCCC…
We've all been lucky enough to be stationed together for over 3 years now, thats almost unheard of.
Sadly, we all head off on different paths all too soon.

Her and her husband and son are also headed to Fort Drum soon!
