Is it Gavin... OR Jason!?!

Found these while going through some pictures last night... hard to believe how much Gavin looks like Jason did as a child!

Gavin makes this SAME face

Look at that blonde hair! This will be Gavin after a few more trips to the beach.
Jason and his GGpa - I'm so thankful I was able to meet him before he passed away!
I had to include this one because people always wonder about Jason's ear obsession - it goes waaaaay back!!!

March 26th

One of Gavin's favorite things to play is "Ready, Set, Go..." - he'll run up and down the hall way over and over. His favorite is when mommy is feeling energetic and joins him in the race. We have a blast! Gavin found one of my medals in a drawer Friday morning and wore it around all day proudly. I have a feeling it won't be too many more years before he's winning medals of his own! What a little athlete we have.

March 24th

We spent the morning in the back yard pulling weeds, raking, blowing off the patio, attempting to cut the grass (discovered the lawnmower is broken), etc. Gavin kept bringing me weeds... errr, flowers :) Such a sweet boy!
While Gavin napped I worked on pressure washing the driveway and sidewalks... a task I anticipated taking one day but it ultimately took 3! When he awoke we needed a break from cleaning so we went to the park. We only had an hour before we had to get back home and meet a worker from Lowe's. We recently decided to purchase new carpets for our home and they were coming out to do the measurements. We cant wait until the carpet is installed! Lowe's offers 10% off the carpet and padding and no tax to military!
He loves going down the slide over and over, and walking up it!

Lots accomplished today... and lots more to go!

March 20: Tybee Fun Continues

March 19: Jason's B-day/Beach Trip

Happy 26th birthday to Jason! When asked how he wanted to spend his day, his response was to take LB fishing! So, we did just that! The weather was fantastic (mid 70's) so it was a great way to start our beach season! Unfortunately the water was still quite chilly so no fish were caught :( but the cold temp didn't stop Gavin from enjoying himself.
Lunch on the go: a hotdog and mickey mouse cheese
Never noticed this at Tybee until today - had to snap a pic since we have pictures of us at the real one in Key West!

Birthday boy deserved some relaxation!

Ready to go home
My suntanned boys napped while I got ready for dinner. I woke them a little later and we all drove to Hooters for a birthday dinner. We were joined by the Mineo's, Davis', Joey P, and some of the Pennington Family. Thanks for sharing your Friday night with us to help celebrate.
Afterwards the Mineo's surprised Jason with a Brownie/Cookie cake at our house!

March 18: Change of Command

Change of Command Ceremony
Forsyth Park
Jason looks pretty good standing in front, huh?!?
Too bad it was short lived...
Jason and 1SG Haynie in the back

Ceremony complete, and Jason is released for a 3 day weekend! :)
Gotta love a day off for your birthday
After the ceremony we had Melissa, Mackenzie, and Colton over for dinner (Sean is deployed again), which turned into a sleepover! Colton man enjoyed bath time with Gavin while Mackenzie soaked up every bit of "male bonding" with Jason watching tv! Next came popcorn, then we put the kids to bed and the grownups watched Black Hawk Down before falling asleep!
