Tick

This morning we started our day with a great breakfast made by Jason - pancakes topped with fresh strawberries! Gavin was super excited, as strawberries are quickly becoming one of his favorite foods. After that, we got started on outside work. Jason tackled most of it... the mowing, edging, putting down mulch where needed, trimming bushes, etc. I worked on organizing the garage and making a "get rid of" pile while he did that. Boy, we've accumulated lots of junk over the years! We need to get a little more mulch to put around the front tree and some grass seed to fill in a few patchy spots, but other then that it's really coming together!

Love the trees to the left of our house
When the yard was finished, Gavin was ready to play baseball!
Later Jason got ready for an afternoon of pig hunting! He always seems to be deployed or training during the various hunting seasons, so I was thrilled for him that he was able to get out with a friend and do something he loves. Unfortunately, no bacon was brought home this time :(
Something he did bring home was TICKS! Here are 10 of the 14 we pulled off him tonight. Most were so tiny and were really hard to see. It's no wonder Jason's nickname was "Tick" in high school! He attracts them!
After showers and pajamas we had a super easy and yummy dinner - Sloppy Joe's and Sweet Potato Fries!
